The DOWNPASS standard aims to promote proper, continuously monitored goose and duck farming on a global scale. It also covers the responsible sourcing of down and feathers as a by-product. This standard applies to all down and feather filling materials used in bedding (pillows, duvets), clothing (e.g., down jackets), and outdoor products such as sleeping bags. Products marked with the DOWNPASS label guarantee high quality and provide assurance that the down and feathers used as filling material are sourced ethically and come from strictly controlled and traceable supply chains.
OEKO TEX STANDARD 100
OEKO TEX Standard 100 is an international, independent testing and certification system for semi-finished and finished textile products. The inspection also covers the materials used, including down fillings in duvets, pillows, jackets, sleeping bags, etc. This label is an indicator of product quality and guarantees that it is safe for health. Our down is certified with the OEKO TEX label, which means it has been tested for harmful substances and undergoes quality and organoleptic evaluation.
RDS
Responsible Down Standard is an independent, voluntary, and global standard for responsible down sourcing. This certificate ensures that down and feathers come from ducks and geese that were treated in accordance with all animal welfare principles. In practice, this means that the birds were provided with appropriate and dignified living conditions throughout the entire farming period, from hatchling to slaughter. The RDS standard was developed with the support of animal rights groups, industry experts, and retailers.
